| Anyone remember American Idol? Didn't think so. Neither did the folks at Fox who thought that it was about time to reunite the 30 finalists for an all singing, all dancing concert special filmed a week ago in Las Vegas. The show, airing on Fox tonight, is titled "American Idol in Vegas." Apparently the title "Who Gives A Rat's Ass?" was already taken. Should be an interesting show - American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson will be singing "A Moment Like This," the ballad that won the show for her. Anyone else tired of that song yet? I mean, besides me and Kelly Clarkson. Who knew that when Andy Warhol predicted that we would all have our 15 minutes of fame, we'd also be facing an audience with a 15 second attention span? Well, screw that noise, because it's time for a real American Idol - a man who makes you want to pay more attention, a man whose comedy comes from the heart (or somewhere within a 1-2 foot radius), a man who once again offers you the opportunity to one day be interviewed on the comedy equivalent of 'Behind The Music'. Then again, you may hate David Robinson, but still love his offbeat sense of humor and his groovin' musical style. Which is marginally better than someone with a groovin' sense of humor and off beat musical style. No matter. Just make sure you're at the Friar's Club at 9900 S.
